I am Harold Cunningham Jr., a civic leader, legal advocate, and prison reform activist whose life story demonstrates the transformative power of faith, education, rehabilitation, and human connection. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., I spent over three decades incarcerated within some of the federal system's most violent and restrictive prisons, including ADX Florence, Lorton The Wall, and the D.C. Jail. More than twenty years of my incarceration were spent in solitary confinement, enduring prolonged isolation, force-feeding, and institutional violence. Despite these harrowing conditions, I successfully transformed my life through spiritual growth, dedicated writing, and group leadership, evolving into a widely respected voice for human rights behind bars.

Our mission is to expose the human cost of solitary confinement and mass incarceration, to restore dignity to those the system tried to erase, and to turn lived experience into lasting reform. We tell the truth, we protect our storytellers, and we never look away.
